The Portasol 50 soldering iron is designed for odd jobs and hobbies. Equivalent to a 50w iron at 375C. Tips for soldering and cutting are available and comes fitted with a chisel tiplet
The iron is lit using the flint in the cap. The flint should last around 1000 ignitions and is replaceable. The heater element which controls the gas flow, temperature and supports the tiplets is also replaceable.
Always refill with 100% pure butane available from most supermarkets or petrol stations.
